Studio Teatrino-

Created in collaboration with designer Fabrizio Carboni and architect Enrico Manca, Casa Terra e Vidru represents the MATERIALIZATION OF THE VISION of the Architecture for Humans studio. The project was born from the client's need to create his own home, allocating a part of it to short-term rentals.

The pre-existing spatial configuration, particularly rigid, suggested the adoption of special GLASS BRICK WALLS, capable of diffusing light homogeneously in all the rooms, redefining the perception of the internal space. The existing walls were recovered and treated with a LIME-BASED PLASTER, breathable and naturally pigmented, inspired by the tones of the red earth typical of the mountains in the Capoterra area, such as Poggio dei Pini.

All the ash WOOD FURNISHINGS were CUSTOM-MADE, according to the client's needs, helping to balance the chromatic contrasts of the house. The terracotta-colored plaster envelops the walls and ceilings, evoking the archetypal dimension of the CAVE: monolithic, protective, essential.

This dense and material mass is contrasted by THE DREAM: light, lightness, fluidity. A contemporary spatiality that welcomes, dialogues and transforms, keeping alive the profound sense of living.
